Anti-discrimination center
HIV isn’t really a problem anymore, is it? Many HIV-positive persons continue to be stigmatized and discriminated against. The anti-discrimination center at Aidshilfe Düsseldorf is trying to change this. Please contact us.
Today, it is generally possible for people with HIV to lead a normal live and to have a good quality of life. Thanks to effective treatment, the HIV cannot be healed, but it can be treated well. HIV-positive persons should therefore not have any disadvantages in regards to
- their job
- health care
- social networks
or be excluded in any way.
However, society does not seem to be as aware of this. Experiences of stigmatization and discrimination can have a negative impact on one’s confidence and health.
The “anti-discrimination center” at Aidshilfe Düsseldorf is trying to prevent discrimination and offers support and assistance. Should you require further, professional help, we are very happy to arrange
- a psychological consultation
- a psycho-social consultation
- a legal consultation.
We look forward to hearing from you, should you wish to utilize our services or participate in the project as a volunteer.
